It's been around for a while now, but health bloggers and general food-lovers have recently really started getting into it, with some insanely delicious-looking toppings.

This is how I learned that the thickness of the toast really does matter. It should be about a quarter of an inch thick, or just over half a centimeter. Too thin and it'll burn, too thick, and it won't cook all the way through and be cold and crunchy.
