Hey y'all. It's December, meaning it's officially time to get cozy AF and drink as much tea as humanly possible.
Break out the throws, the space heaters, and the candles — and fire up your coziest playlist. (Psst. Mine's at the bottom of this post. 🎵)

Now, everyone has a favorite tea flavor. Mine is mint — because it's relaxing, refreshing, and tastes really damn good without anything added to it.
Issa fact.
To prepare myself for the winter evenings ahead, I decided to test five of the most popular mint-flavored teas out there and find the ~mintiest~ one. Here are the results:
Here was my lineup:
• Trader Joe's Peppermint Tea
• Tazo Refresh Mint Tea
• Choice Organic Peppermint Tea
• Celestial Seasonings Sleepytime tea
• Stash Peppermint Tea

First up, I tried Trader Joe's Peppermint Tea, which smelled sweet and would probably pair well with some triple ginger snap cookies.
Tasting notes: This is like that tea that you serve along with a platter of hot-out-the-oven chocolate chip cookies at your Christmas party. It had a mild, soothing mintiness to it but it was really the sweet smell that kept me going sip after sip.

The Tazo lived up to its name and had a pretty strong menthol mintiness to it.
Tasting notes: IDK if I'm just a sucker for this tea's name ("Refresh"), but "refreshing" is really how I'd describe this lil' guy — it's like a decaf pick-me-up that somehow relaxes and subtly perks me up at the same time. When I exhaled, I could literally taste the mintiness in my breath.

Stash's Peppermint Tea tasted like an actual breath mint, and dare I say — was the mintiest of 'em all.
Tasting notes: Okay, so you can fight me in the comments on this, but I thought this was the mintiest tea out of the pack. It's got an aggressively menthol smell to it, and fills your mouth with icy breath. It's like IcyHot, but for your nerves!
